Ink on Paper #1
[ butterfly elements ]
Butterflies are all about different patterns and colours,
just like everything around us.
Sometimes when everything is put together
and seen as a whole,
it's as beautiful as a butterfly.
Inspired by Kerby Rosanes.
[ two-sided ]
There is always a more pleasing sight on one end,
and occasionally,
a crooked sight on the other,
sometimes,
it is evil.
[ mandala muscles ]
I used coloured fine liners for the first layer,
adding the black inks on top of it,
which I recognise as 'muscle cells'.
I felt like it made the piece more complete,
or at least,
stronger.
[ a trip to zoo ]
I drew this after my trip to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney,
which was the first time I enjoyed a zoo so much.
[ first exposure ]
We were asked to draw this two-point drawing in our art class,
which was the first time I realized,
that I actually enjoy architectural drawings.
